AVITEX® LIMEWASH
AVITEX Limewash is a natural, mineral-based wall coating that brings walls to life with its soft, cloud-like texture and organic elegance. Step-by-Step Guide for Limewash Texture
Surface Preparation
Clean the wall thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, grease, or loose particles.
Ensure the surface is dry, smooth, and free from imperfections.
Fill cracks or holes with suitable putty, sand smooth, and wipe the surface clean before application.

Fill joints or holes, sand smooth, and wipe clean.
Apply two coats of solvent-based (oil) primer to improve durability and surface stability.
Application of Limewash Texture
To apply AVITEX Limewash
Apply two coats of Limewash Basecoat on the prepared surface. Allow 6–8 hours drying time between coats and ensure complete drying before proceeding.
Dilute Limewash with 10–20% clean potable water and mix thoroughly.
Use a natural bristle brush to apply thin, even coats in small sections. Work the material into the surface using varied or circular strokes.
A sponge or roller may also be used to achieve a soft, cloudy finish.
Apply two coats as standard. For a more subtle and softer appearance, apply a third coat diluted up to 50% with water using a roller.
Allow 6–8 hours drying time between each coat.
For customized finishes, layer two different Limewash shades to create depth and tonal movement.
Once fully dry, seal the surface with AVITEX Protective Coat to enhance durability and surface protection.
